The Parsons-Jocelyn PJ-260 was a purpose built aerobatic aircraft designed by Nick D'Apuzzo for the 1962 World Aerobatic Championships. The designer later developed the D-260 series homebuilt versions of the aircraft. The Mahler - Weber Special was the D-295 single seat version (one built) in 1964 by aerobatic performer "Big" Ed Mahler. The aircraft fatally crashed on September 23, 1977 during a press preview of the Suffolk Air Fair (KFOK) when a horizontal stabilizer separated at low level.
