Sold shortly after pictured, the helicopter was registered N513HA in California to Siller Brothers September 18, 1981. The aircraft is pictured on one of two winter leases to Canadian charter operator Worldways Canada (December to May of 1988 and 89). The aircraft suffered a hard landing on May 5, 1999 at Rhodes - Diagoras, Greece. The damage was enough for the insurance company to write the aircraft off and it was stored at Abu Dhabi in November 1999 and broken up.

Eastern Airlines was the largest Martin 404 operator with this aircraft in the sixty strong fleet 1952 - 62 as N476A. It became N473M with Mohawk Airlines until sold to Ozark Air Lines in 1965. Sold to Fairchild-Hiller Corporation in 1967 as Ozark replaced the Martins with FH-227s. N473M went through several aircraft brokers in the 70s until acquired by Petroleum Air Transport in 1977. DHL bought PAT Air in 1978 and three 404s were transferred to Honolulu, HI in 1979 to operate for DHL. They never entered service and all three (N469M, N471M and N473M) were scrapped by 1983.

Converted to turbine by Marshall of Cambridge using a McKinnon STC turbine kit while registered G-ASXG. Registered to Air West in April 1974, the airline cited the high cost of PT-6 engine overhaul when it converted the aircraft back to piston power in 1985 (but kept the other Mikkinon modifications). Leased to Pacific Coastal Airlines, the amphibian crashed on take-off at Rivers Inlet, BC on May 12, 1988.

Leased to GB Airways, the aircraft was chartered out many times to the likes of Euralair, Sobelair and Easyjet. It went to Air Foyle in 1996 as GB Airways began operating British Airways flights. Operating for Easyjet and Virgin Express until sold to Triton leasing (N103TR) in 1977. Leased to LAPA Argentina (LV-YZA) in November 1998, the aircraft was withdrawn and sold in 2003. It was used for parts until broken up at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, Buenos Aires in 2009.
