A late afternoon arrival into the old Athens airport, the Ethiopian 727s being a rare sight elsewhere in Europe at that time.

This was the former ET-AHM of Ethiopian, painted as N289SC but not delivered as such. It later became N979AL and was converted to a freighter, following which it flew in Canada for many years as C-FACJ. Registration N289SC was taken up by a different 727, msn 22475, which was operated by Sun Country Airlines.

Taxiing out for the 2010 Independence Parade over Mexico City, 3507 is seen lining up for a formation of three Boeing 727s. ex XA-MEK it was first noted with the air force in 2003, and made the last flight of the type with the Mexican air force on 22 February 2017. It had been transferred to the Guardia Nacional for spares recovery by 2021.

Delivered to Ethiopian as ET-AHL on 18 Sep 1979. To SAM as N978AL on 05 Jul 1994. To Venus Airlines as SX-CAO on 01 May 1996. To Comair as ZA-OAO on 15 Jan 1997. To Sky Trek as N901PG on 12 Mar 1998. To Allegro Air as XA-ABM on 10 Jul 2000. WFU at MEX in Jan 2002. To N901PG on 19Aug 2005. Broken up. Registration cancelled 13 May 2015.

Stored after 10 years in service with Ethiopian Airlines, it was leased to ACES Colombia as HK-3834 in May 1993.

Converted to a freighter in 1996 and to leased to All Canada Express in 1997 operating for UPS. Operated by Ethiopian between 1978 and 1992, this 727 spent a few years at Shannon before being converted to a freighter and ending its service life with Cargojet.

One of three 727s bought by Ethiopian and delivered in 10.79, this example was wfu at Shannon in 8.92 and stored as N979AL, eventually being converted to a freighter and leased by All Canada Express as C-FACJ in from 1.97. Operated in UPS colours but repainted in All Canada's own livery shortly before becoming C-GUJC in 5.03 and appearing in CargoJet Airways scheme - very smart, but nobody will beat that wonderful original ET paintwork!
