First flight was in 1981, delivered new to Widerøes Flyveselskap as the 2nd Dash 7 on 4 May 1981. Returned to DeHavilland Canada as C-FYMK on 5 July 1996, and flew on as TG-JAY for AVCOM from 11 November 1996 until broken up some years later. Scanned from original slide, and as I shot the photo I was not aware of the Braathens vehicle coming fast from the right angle, so a bit lucky. My first photo of a Dash 7.

Built for Widerøe in 1981 as LN-WFI and seen shortly after being sold, via De Havilland Canada, to AVCOM in November 1996. Sold to CAAMS Leasing of Rutherfordton, NC in 2009 and stored. Scrapped there in 2017.

Ex Golden West Airlines N702GW, registered 19th March 1984 and withdrawn from use Aug 1991, then transferred to Voyageur Airways Oct 1992

Air BC operated six Dash 7s into the 90s. This one was was delivered new to Golden West Airlines on December 23, 1980 as N702GW then imported for Air BC March 19, 1984. The agreement ended when Pacific Western Airlines bought CP Air and formed Canadian Airlines. Air Canada purchased 85% of Air BC and joined the Air Canada Connectors. Sold in 1991 as Air BC standardized on the Dash 8s for operations, C-FJPI went to Voyageur Airways. In 1997, the aircraft was extensively modified for geophysical survey and was recently retired and cancelled from the Canadian register on March 14, 2018.
