The Blume 502 was developed from the Blume 500 in the late 1950's by Walter Blume. The aircraft wasn't very succesful and only 2 examples were built. On May 16, 1982, the aircraft was damaged beyond repair in an emergency landing at Langenlonsheim. However, a restoration project started in 1999 and the aircraft was restored to flying condition in 2016 at Koblenz-Winningen. Early 2017 the aircraft took to the skies again, only to suffer a gear collapse upon landing. The aircraft was repaired and airworthy again at the time of the upload. Photo from W. Muntinga

During a short fuel stop on a ferry from the US (Dallas) to Ukraine. From what I can see so far, the aircraft departed on June 8 and so far flown Addison (KADS) - Ellington (KLUG) - Burlington (KBVT) - Goose Bay (CYYR) - Narsarsuaq (BGBW) - Reykjavik (BIRK) - Wick (EGPC) - Groningen (EHGG) - Berlin (EDAZ). It is our understanding that the aircraft will keep this registration. Photo taken by my colleague.

The aircraft was dispatched for a bombing run enemy troops on the West side of Wageningen on May 12, 1940, together with a few other aircraft. They were intercepted by Bf 109's and the aircraft was subsequently shot down near Rhenen/Opheusden . The aircraft made a rough landing and flipped over, however both occupants survived the events. There have actually been 3 aircraft that carried the serial '276', this one is likely the third '276'. The first one (a prototype, c/n 5168) was sold to Romania for an international competition. The second '276' (c/n 5271) crashed at Soesterberg due to wing flutter. The third '276' (c/n 5325) collided with '283' (c/n 5273). Photo from W. Muntinga

The D.XVI were vulnerable to wing flutter (vibration of the wing) during diving manoeuvres. The instruments were capable of indicating a max of 450km/h, often 250 km/h was reached twice. During testing, the aircraft crashed due to this wing flutter. Thankfully, the pilot survived. As a result, counterweights were added to the ailerons. Photo from W. Muntinga

The Fokker S.14 first flew on May 19, 1951. It marks the first Fokker-built jet aircraft and the world first jet aircraft designed specifically for training purposes. The only orders came from the Royal Netherlands Air Force, who acquired 20 aircraft (L-1 to L-20), delivered between August 1955 and November 1956. L-3 was broken up in 1963. Just 3 out of 21 aircraft remain; 1 at the Nationaal Militair Museum at Soesterberg, one under restoration for static display at the Koninklijke Luchtmacht Historische Vlucht (KLuHV) and one at the Aviodrome in Lelystad. Ex. MJ721, flown from February 1944 until December 1944, when it was grounded due to structural failures of the frame. Initially stored, it became a museum object in January 1959 and became derelict for a long time. To prevent further decay, the decision was made to restore it. This was completed in January and the aircraft was put on display as 'MH424' at the Aviodome. Sold in the summer of 2006, with the intention to make her airworthy again. This was a success and we now know the aircraft as G-IRTY, the Silver Spitfire that flew around the world in 2019. Photo from W. Muntinga

Designed in 1935 and designed for guarding large areas. It ended up being used as a bomber however. When WWII broke out, only 16 Fokker T.V's had been delivered. 9 were enlisted with the bomber wing (850, 853, 854, 855, 856, 858, 859, 862 en 865), 1 was almost complete (852), 1 without engines (857), 1 waiting for armament (863), 1 as spare parts bird (851) and 1 near the KLM building (860). These were all based at Amsterdam/Schiphol. 861 was based at Texel for crew training. Unfortunately I wasn't able to identify the aircraft in the photo. Photo from Harm Reinders
