Looking decidedly worse for wear after more than a decade in harsh northern climate, this Huey was originally with the US Army as 60-3597, to the Royal Norwegian Air Force as 597 in 1970 where it also flew for UNIFIL in Lebanon in the late 1970s. When retired from the air force it became an instructional airframe at a local technical school in Bodø in 1990, later to Norsk Luftfartsmuseum.

ex 62-1948. To MASDC in January 1976 as XA01224 and quickly pulled out again for the Customs Service. Any help on the location is appreciated.

Operating with Northern Pioneer Helicopters of Big Lake, AK. Built in 1960. Taken on charge new by the US Army as 60-3568. Became N70NW in 1993. While with Northwest Helicopters, substantially damaged on 24 September 1993, striking trees while attempting an autorotation after engine failure at Detroit Lake, OR. Joined Northern Pioneer Helicopters in 2001. Substantially damaged at Tok Junction Airport, AK on 8 August 2013, striking trees while making an emergency landing after loss of directional control. Also registered as N9970F, cancelled in 2023.

This is former USAr 64-14078. It carries a fake serial and is preserved at Melgar with Comando Aéreo de Combate No. 4 "TC. Luis Francisco Pinto Parra".

Delivered May 1964 ex 63-12954 and served 723 Sqdn RAN. Withdrawn from active service in May 1989 and used for a time as a ground instructional frame at HMAS Nirimba, Sydney.

Delivered in late 1964, A2-1020 was deployed to Vung Tau in Vietnam in 1966 with 9 Sqdn and in August that year, was involved in the most significant Australian action of the Vietnam War, resupplying surrounded Australian troops at Long Tan. When 9 Sqdn re-equipped with the more capable UH-1D, it returned to Australia in April 1968 for service with 5 Sqdn in the training role and from 1970 to 1983 was rotated around units at RAAF Williamtown, RAAF Pearce and RAAF Darwin on SAR duties. It returned to 5 Sqdn before becoming a ground training aid in 1984. Now shown in its Vietnam configuration.

Preserved at Asuncion, visible from outside the airfield, is this former Paraguayan UH-1B in bright SAR-colours.

The cabin well protected against the hot sun by an overdose of paint on the windows, UH-1B PR-H-005 is part of an impressive row of aircraft preserved at the main gate of Ñu Guazú.

One of many hidden treasures at Ñu Guazú, in this case under a tree, so hard to find for the Google Earth fanatics. PR-H-004 is one of three UH-1Bs once used.

Fairly recently restored from poor condition in storage with "Alley Cats" unit badge of the US Army 282nd Assault Helicopter Co.

First noted at this location in October 1989.
