Seen here in 1991 at RAF Finningley. The aircraft arrived in New Zealand in 1934 from the de Havilland factory and registered as ZK-ADI it was the first aircraft in NZ to be registered to carry passengers commercially. It serviced for the RNZAF from 1943 to 1948, afterward being owned by NAC (National Airways Corp). It has held several registrations numbers ZK-ADI, NZ566, ZK-ASP, N83DH, G-ADHA and back to ZK-ADI. From 1974 to 1984 the aircraft was based in the USA before heading to England. The aircraft was returned to NZ and restored to its original livery in 1997. Photographer unknown.

Spun in and crashed on approach to Prince George, British Columbia on July 3, 1948. This aircraft was registered to Central B.C. Airways and had been for almost the entire time it was on the register. It is not known why BC is missing from the name on the aircraft. At that time in Canada, Central Airways was a Toronto based flying school owned by the Wong brothers. Photo from: Library and Archives Canada

The original G-ACEJ which was struck by Musketeer G-AYWS at Old Warden the following year on 17 July 1982 and destroyed by fire. This prompted the closing of the cross-runway to visiting aircraft. The remains were subsequently recreated by Ben Cooper and the aircraft is resident in Germany in 2021.
