Seen fitted with a different nose cone. Northrop Grumman's BAC 111s had interchangeable nose cones to test various electronic systems. This was the last flying BAC 111 in the world, and it made its final flight on May 6, 2019.

Retired 1993 and preserved Brooklands from 1994. Presumed to be taken over Dorset coastline.

Photographer not known. Like many executive 1-11s, this aircraft was orginally operated by American Airlines, its delivery registration having been N5025. When seen here it was operated by Allis-Chalmers Corporation, a large US manufacturer of a wide range of machinery.

Photographer not known. Like many 1-11s, this example concluded its career with a Nigerian operator. In this case the company was Oriental Airines and the aircraft's registration was 5N-IMO. It was destroyed in a landing accident in poor visibility at Tamanrasset, Algeria on 18 September 1994, with five fatalities out of the 39 persons on board. The aircraft had been chartered to fly the Nigerian football team Iwuanwanyu from Tunis to Lagos after a match in the Africa Cup competition.

This beautiful plane was originally delivered to British United (BUA) in June 1969. It went on to fly with Caledonian/BUA, British Caledonian, British Airways and European Aircharter before being wfu and stored at Bournemouth (BOH) in January 2002. The plane was broken-up there in September 2004 with the forward fuselage trucked to Alton for preservation as part of the adjacent cafe and for regular fear-of-flying classes.
