Focke-Wulf acquired a licence and completed an unknown number with the unconfirmed designation Fw 30 and name Heuschrecke (grasshopper). Known examples have D-E registrations but this airframe has a D-I reg, indicative of a higher weight class. Running out of fuel on 25 May 1938, Hanno van der Velden landed in a field near Oostwold - EHOW did not exist yet - and hit power lines when taking off again. After an accident in 1951, the arcraft was stored. It is part of the collection since 1962, after being donated to the museum by K. Overman. The real PH-HHH (c/n 712) was also built in 1934 and initially registered G-ACWJ in July 1934. It became PH-HHH in January 1935. To the RAF in June 1940 as AP508 (until 1941).
