Two Avro-built Cierva C.30A autogyros were delivered to the German Air Ministry in November 1934. Focke-Wulf acquired a licence and completed an unknown number with the unconfirmed designation Fw 30 and name Heuschrecke (grasshopper). Known examples have D-E registrations but this airframe has a D-I reg, indicative of a higher weight class. Photo from Focke-Wulf archives and the major airport is assumed to be Bremen's, the large hangar looking the same as the one in photo 573422. Photo from: Imperial War Museums

Registered to Mildred Mary Bruce in July 1934. On 25 November 1934 she took off from Lympne, headed for Cape Town in attempt at record for longest autogyro flight, but damaged the aircraft in France. G-ACVX sold to Redhill Flying Club in September 1936. Sold to Dutch company Autogiro Import in 1937 as PH-ASA. Running out of fuel on 25 May 1938, Hanno van der Velden landed in a field near Oostwold - EHOW did not exist yet - and hit power lines when taking off again. Wreck stored at Waalhaven and destroyed by German bombing in May 1940. Photo from: Nederlands Instituut voor Militaire Historie
