The DH-89 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force was built in 1944 and carried RAF serial NR695. It was sold to the government of India in 1945, then sold again to a private concern in 1946. Eventually, it came to the United States where it was modified to the civilian Dragon Rapide passenger configuration. The classic aircraft was obtained by the museum and flown here in November 1989. It is painted to represent one of the six Dominies flown by the USAAF during World War II.

July 1945: TOS USAAF as B-25J 44-8677. 1946: Redesignated as TB-25J. 1954: Converted to TB-25N. 12/58: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, for storage and disposal. 1/59: Registered N9167Z. 1970: Crosby Enterprises, Wauwatosa, WI, still carrying its basic USAF scheme, Crosby added the name, "The Devil Made Me Do It" to the nose. 1987: Tom Reilly Vintage Aircraft, Kissimmee, FL, where it was restored. 1993: Executive Aviation, Cincinnati, OH; registered N345BG. 28 Oct 2010: B25 Mitchell, Inc, Tulsa. 3/11: Liberty Aviation Museum, Port Clinton, OH. By 7/12: "Named Georgie's Gal--Angela/Helena."

This UH-19D was in storage by the USAF Museum restoration hangars across the airfield from the museum when I took this slide. It is now at the Museum of Aviation at Warner Robins AFB, Georgia, but is currently being restored and not on display as of July 2022.
