Taking the opposite route of many classic propliners, this DC-6 (and sister ship C-GKUG) started as an airliner with Western Airlines in 1957. Bought by the USAF 1965 and converted to C-118A 65-12816, it was leased to Chile under MDAP as FAC 985 in 1967. Returning to the USA in 1982, it was added to Conair's fleet in April and converted to a tanker. Sold in 2000 to Tatonduk Outfitters Ltd (Everts Air Cargo) as N60759, the aircraft was moved to their storage yard in Fairbanks, AK in 2002 where it remains, now registered N511CE.
