First flight March 6th 1969 as PH-ZAE, and delivered new as the 2nd of 5 ordered F.28s for Braathens SAFE, to replace F.27s in the fleet. 1972 it was named "Harald Hardråde". October 1986 I-TIBB Unifly Express. October 1987 I-TIBB Alinord. July 1990 wfu and stored at Dinard airport, France after 20 years of flying. Later broken up. First flight April 14th 1969 a PH-SAF. Delivered new to Braathens SAFE April 29th 1969 as their third Fellowship. 1972 named "Sverre Sigurdsson". Photographed by my good friend Jan Olav Martinsen at Fornebu late summer 1972. On December 23rd 1972, LN-SUY was written of in a fatal accident on approach to FBU on a delayed shceduled flight from Aalesund due to fog, when it crashed in the woods close to Asker.

May 3rd 2013 wfu, stored at Hurn, UK, and broken up there in March 2017. My first view of a B737-500, shot through a terminal window as it was parked at gate 18 and I could walk along the pax to get the aircraft in sunshine. Nose of a 737-200 seen behind.

Put into service with "Sommerflyet" colours with the first flower decoration earlier shown in 1988 with N197JQ. September 1990 LN-BRD repaintd to standard BU colours, and given the name "Harald Gille". 1999 LN-BRD repaintd to the new blue BU livery, and winter 2002/03 repaintd to the final BU livery. First flight March 12th 1991. LN-BRJ was the only B737-505 that never wore the complete Braathens SAFE livery, due to its use at Sommerfly, and Olympiafly and the jubille ot Trondheim 1000 years in 1997. In 1998 it was complete white before being repainted to the new blue Braathens livery. November 2003 YL-BB Air Baltic. April 10th 2004 returned to SAS Braathens inn all white colours. June 1t 2007 tfd to SAS Norge, all white until repiante ot SASA Norge colours early 2008. October 1st 2009 SAS tfd, "Olav Tryggvasson". September 21st 2009 wfu at Kemble, UK and broekn up there i Jan uary 2012.

After the Trondheim LN-BRJ operated for Braathens SAFE in this neutralized liverey, with only text was the LN-BRJ and the name Olav Tryggvasson for 7 months before repainted to the blue Braathens colours as the first LN- reg Boeing 737-505.

Converted to freighter at Miami September 2016, and op by Kalitta. Seen arriving rwy 24

January 31st 2013 stored at Budiarto after Batavia ceased tp operate. March 13th 2014 N253GC rr, Aerway Leasing, seems to have been stored. To Burssels Airlines 28 March 2007 Brussels Airlines before withdrawn from use in February 2010. Then to Vision Airlines in Octber 2010 as N745VA, leased to PeopleExpress in May 2014, then Havana Air in November 2014, Fly Baghdad in July 2015 as YI-BAJ. Converted to 737-405SF in February 2016 and operated by Kallita as N732CK .

Seen at rwy 24 an August evening in 1989.

N197JQ was the third 737-200 leased in by BU between 1987 and 1993. It was Braathen SAFE's first Summer Plane in 1988. Repainted in almost standard Braathens colours, except for the grey lower fuselage, and given the famous name "Olav den Hellige" or "Olav the Holy" in English. It left BU in April 1992. Seen taxing for a rwy 24 domestic flight.

First flight at Renton May 21st 1989 and was deliverd new to Braathens SAFE June 7th 1989 named "Eirik Blodøks". LN-BRA was the first 734 to BU. May 1st 1999 OO-VEK Virgin Express. October 2000 OO-VEK leased to Ciry Bird for one year.. March 25th 2007 OO-VEK Brussels Airlines transferred.. June 28th 2012 wfu, ferried to Marana, USA, and broken up in 20013. Photographed the first day it was in service, waiting for first flight to Palma. From May 2n 1989 the old part of FBU was used for Charter flights due to Gardermoen was closed due to new rwy asfalt at GEN. Tower Air 747 N601BN seen behind.
